Very interesting chronicle of his sojourn to Nepal and surrounding area. The one problem with the book is Nicolas Notovich's native tongue is not English so the writing is a bit askew. Nevertheless it is understandable and you get the gist of what he is trying to get across in his writing. The transcripts of Jesus' teachings are very enlightening and well worth the read. Overall I found it to be a good read. I recommend it to anyone who wants to verify the facts of Jesus' time spent in India and Nepal and his Buddhist/Hindu origins.Product details

I know the words in Saint Issas life are Jesus because a sheep knows the Shepard's voice and he calls to me with the same voice in this book. The words rang true to the gospels,but many will see a different side of Christianity. Where Jesus challenges us to regain our innocence and become a perfect child of God. Did Jesus not say in the New Testament,we must become like little children or we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven? What are children like? Inoscent, without judging and love unconditionally. It is written God is love, we are children of God. What do children grow up to be? Like their parents. Become love, give it unconditionally and become a God like our father in heaven.Is it not written in Psalms 826?, I have said ye are gods, and all of you are children of the most high. But ye shall die like men and fall like one of the princes. It is all our destiny to know evil and choose love over judgment, greed, selfishnes, conflict and competition. Jesus became one with our father. By becoming love. He said I am the way;which is love, I am the truth; which is we are gods in the making and his teachings show us how to become love and he is the life; for we are all emortal spirits and the body is a tool to learn how to love unconditionally . let's all go home. Love everyone even our enemy. Peace be with you all brothers and sisters.
I skipped the account by Notovitch and went right for the texts he'd translated. Those are invaluable and freed my soul.
While the historical "accuracy" of this book is under some question, if accurate, it does provide a reasonable account of the missing years of Jesus' life. It also goes deeply into how and why the teachings of Jesus split so wildly from traditional Judaism, and provides a rational account of how so many Eastern ideas found their way into his teachings. I will be the first to admit that my beliefs on Jesus are not the standard theology taught in seminaries and churches throughout the world, but in my mind, it speaks to the influences that Jesus found to be Godly, and underpins why Christianity, and truly Christian beliefs, are the most humane and loving of the three religions worshipping the God of Abraham.
This was an exciting and interesting look into the missing of Jesus Christ.
Fascinating but it rang true
The telling of this take was I think more accurate.
The Jewish people were labeled killers but in this historical treatise we see the real killer, pagan Rome.
Pilate was obsessed and wanted Christ dead the Jewish leaders tried but failed to have him saved.
The so called internal consistency of this recounting is intense, while the consistency of Christ's core teachings is clear and unremitting in his life of the father, the great creator
Where the fails is only when the author tries to ignore the major Catholic, Christian adherence to the rising of Christ as the reason for the empty tomb. The logical explanations are fine save that there were witnesses and Christ appeared to his mother and others
This was A fascinating read
I like the approach to the history and culture presented on the subject. I find it helpful to have a diverse viewpoint. However the religious terminology and theological concepts have the flavor of a Catholic trying to reform that church. For example, there is evidence to show that Jesus' parents were Essene but this is not presented in the book. The use of the word "Pagan" is a typical medieval Catholic usage. I like how he presents the argument that it was the Romans, not the Jewish priesthood, that were responsible for the condemnation of Jesus.
I don't doubt this version of what Jesus did in terms of his spiritual training during the unaccounted years. Buddhism was the most advanced philosophy during his time; there are many elements of it in Christianity. Hindus and yoga practitioners, based on their practice, years of experience, austerities, etc were able to go well beyond the capacity of what we consider that of humanity in terms of healing and creating "miracles". Obviously Jesus was a fast learner.
I had been aware of this author's amazing story for some 40 years, but never actually read his version. This is important material to be studied and explored for those who seek the Truth.
